The phone front desk of the vet practice
You are in a consultation. An owner is worried.Clara answers.
Clara answers in your practice's name, during consultations and when the practice is closed. She notes the animal, what the person observes and their number, suggests an appointment subject to your click, and marks the emergency when the animal is unwell. She diagnoses nothing, and she does not replace your out-of-hours service.
No credit card. You keep your number and your team keeps answering.

- You keep your number
- The artificial intelligence introduces itself in the first sentence
- Never any care advice

I understand your concern. What is your cat's name?
Caller
Minette, she's nine. She's still drinking a little.

Ten at night · practice closed
Caller
My dog swallowed a piece of plastic, he's coughing, the practice is closed, what do I do?
Clara
The practice is closed this evening. For an emergency outside opening hours, the practice's instruction is to call the out-of-hours service. I'll send you the number by SMS. What is your dog's name?
Caller
Balou.
Clara
Balou. I'm noting that he swallowed a piece of plastic and is coughing, so the team knows when it opens. Call the out-of-hours service now.
Received by the team
Out-of-hours emergency for Balou, out-of-hours instruction given and sent by SMS with the number. Message for opening time.
These exchanges illustrate the job description: they were written for this page, not taken from a call. On the phone, Clara answers in the caller's language: French, German, Italian, English or Portuguese. Your team receives everything in French.
During opening hours
- A sick or injured animal: the owner's name, the animal, what is observed and since when, and an appointment suggested subject to confirmation.
- If the animal is unwell, the emergency is marked and your on-call mobile receives an SMS.
- Vaccinations, check-ups, planned procedures: an appointment suggested on the days in your job description.
- Results, follow-ups, invoices: a written message. She has no access to records and never makes up a result.
Outside opening hours
- Your job description holds the number of the out-of-hours service for your region.
- For an emergency, Clara gives that number, and the person also receives it by SMS.
- She writes the message for opening time: the team knows in the morning what happened during the night.
- She does not replace an emergency service, and she says so.
Your data, and your clients' data
She only records what the person says.
The owner's name, their number, the animal and what they observe. No human health data. Call recordings are deleted after nine days; requests live in your space, hosted in Switzerland.
The out-of-hours SMS
Tuesday · 22:04
Alpine Vet Practice: emergency recorded. The practice is closed: call the out-of-hours service on the number in your job description. The team has your message.
The out-of-hours number is the one you write in the job description.
The trial
You call yourself, before you hire.
Clara is tried out like Arthur: from your mobile, on our trial line, with your job description. Nothing to install, nothing to change on your side.
The job description
The questionnaire starts from the template for your trade. You correct what does not fit you and write down what counts as urgent for you.
Your mobile
You register it and an SMS code confirms it. That is how the trial line knows which business to answer for.
You call
From that mobile, you call the trial line: Clara answers in your name, with your job description. 72 hours including 20 minutes of calls, no credit card.
You decide
To set it up on your number, the Réponds! team calls you back, tests the line with you and offers you the contract.
The trial line number appears in your space as soon as your mobile is verified.

What practices ask us first.
We already have an assistant at the front desk.
She keeps her job. Clara only takes the calls that ring out: during a consultation, an operation, at lunchtime, in the evening. The forwarding is set with your operator, on no answer or when busy.
What does she say to someone whose animal is very unwell?
During opening hours, she marks the emergency and your on-call mobile receives an SMS. Outside them, she gives the out-of-hours number from your job description, by SMS too. She never advises any care.
Will older owners manage?
She says in her first sentence that she is an artificial intelligence, asks one question at a time and repeats the animal's name before recording the request.
What about professional confidentiality?
Clara only records what the person says about themselves and their animal, for your practice. No human health data. Recordings are deleted after nine days, and our sub-processors are listed.
Leave your next call during a consultation to Clara.
You keep your number. She answers in the practice's name, and you receive the record.
